Steps to Migrate Amazon WorkMail Mailbox Using Shoviv Migrator

Step 1: Download, install, and open the Shoviv Migrator application.

2: From the Job Manager, select the Create Job option available in the ribbon bar.

  • Choose the Mailbox Migration as the migration job type. Then set Amazon WorkMail as the Source platform and Microsoft 365 as the Target platform.
  • Click on the Create Job button.

3: Provide a Job Name for the migration task.

4: Match the Source and Target Mailboxes using either of these methods:

  • Map Mailbox: Manually assign each source and target mailbox to its corresponding target mailbox.
  • Map Using CSV: Import mailbox mappings through a CSV file for bulk mapping.
  • Select the destination type for migration: Primary Mailbox, Archive Mailbox, or Public Folder.
  • Click on the Next button.

5: Apply migration filters to refine your migration process with various user-centric filters such as Date range, folder, emails, contacts, and calendars.

  • Include/ Exclude Date: Define a specific date range for email migration.
  • Include/ Exclude Folder: Choose folders that should or should not be migrated.
  • Include Emails: Transfer all emails and attachments.
  • Include Contacts: Migrate mailbox contacts.
  • Include Calendars: Move calendar entries, events, and meeting schedules.
  • Click on the Next button.

6: Set the advanced migration options according to your needs:

  • Number of Mailboxes to be Processed in Parallel: Decide how many mailboxes will migrate at the same time.
  • Number of Items to be Processed in Parallel: Specify how many mailboxes' items can be processed concurrently.
  • Login Retry Attempts: Configure retry attempts for login failures caused by network interruptions.
  • Login Retrieval Attempts: Define how many times the software should retry retrieving the mailbox data if an error occurs.
  • Run Job Manually: Save the configuration and launch the migration later using the Start Job button.
  • Run Job Immediately: Start the migration automatically after the setup is complete.
  • Scheduler: Set a specific date and time for the migration process.
  • Timeout for the larger items: Define an upload timeout of 2-30 mins for oversized mailbox items.
  • Bad Item Count: Set the maximum number of failed items allowed before the migration stops automatically.

7: Configure the migration schedule according to your preferred time and recurrence settings:

  • Occurs: Select how often the migration process should execute one time, daily, weekly, or monthly.
  • Daily Interval: Define the frequency of migration runs within a single day.
  • Occurs Once At: Set a particular time or time duration for the migration execution.
  • Start Date: Choose the date from which the scheduled migration will begin.
  • End Date / No End Date: Specify an end date for the schedule or allow it to continue without expiration.
  • Description: Review the summary of all configured scheduling settings.
  • Click Ok button.

8: Verify all selected filters and settings carefully. If changes are needed, use the Back button; otherwise, click Finish to finalize the setup.

9: The migration process will begin according to the selected configuration. If you selected Run Job Manually, click the Start Job button from the ribbon bar to initiate the migration.
