Export Single Mailbox in Live Exchange

Note: Here, we will only describe how to Export a single PST File in Live Exchange. The same steps will be applicable to export other added sources.

  1. There are two options available to Export the added single source mailbox in Live Exchange:

    • First option: Go to the Ribbon bar and click on the Live Exchange then select the Live exchange option from the drop down in Export Single OST/PST File in group.
    • Second option: Make a right-click on the folder list, then a context menu will appear on which click Export Single file in Live Exchange and choose the Mailbox, Public Folder, Archive Mailbox option.
  2. After choosing the mailbox, a check/uncheck wizard will pop up.

    • Check/Uncheck Sub Folder: When you check this option, clicking on any check box in the folder list will automatically select or unselect all the subfolders of that particular mailbox. After selecting the subfolders, click the 'Next' button.
  3. Now, click on the Next button, and an "Export item to Live Exchange mailbox" wizard will appear, which consists of Migrate to default store, Migrate to the selected mailbox, and Export in option.

    • Migrate to default store: Use this option, to access access the mailbox by using the outlook profile of exchange user mailbox on which you want to export.
    • Export in: Select the target mailbox from Export in option and choose the Live Exchange mailbox store, Archive Mailbox store,and public folder store as a desired target.
    • Migrate to the selected mailbox: This option allows you to export the mailbox into the selected profile. Here, you need to enter the credentials of the required mailbox manually.

    • Exchange Name: Enter the Exchange name or IP address.

      User Email: Enter the user email of the Exchange mailbox.

      Password: Enter the Password of respective user mailbox.

      Export in: Select the target mailbox from Export in option and choose the Live Exchange mailbox store, Archive Mailbox store,and public folder store as a desired target.


      Once you are done with the above options, click on the 'Next' button.

  4. Now, the filter page is shown based on an include/exclude basis. Users can add message class and date range as per desire to exclude/include them.

    • Message Class Filter: The message class filter option allows you to add the message class using the add button. With this option, you can include or exclude the message class. To add a message class, click on the Add button, a message class dialog box will pop up with some default message classes. You can select them or type message classes manually. To add a new message class, type the message class in the edit box and click on the Add button.
    • Message Date Filter: This option allows you to filter the message according to the date range. Select a date range (From and To) and click on the Add button.
    • Export All items : This option allows you to resume the process if it gets interrupted or prevents duplicity when you export items again. Read More...

  5. Advance Option: Click on this option for more advanced features for migration processes. Read More..

    • After applying the Date Filter, there are various criteria that the user can use:

      • The user can apply the filter by the last modification time.
      • The user can apply the filter by message creation time.
      • The user can apply the filter by message delivery time.
      • The user can apply the filter by client submit time.

      Process hard delete items from Deleted folder check the box to recover the hard deleted items.

    • Folder Mapping: This option allows you to Map the source folders with the destination folder or create a new custom folder for any given source folder.

      • Add:- Using this button, one can add the source and the target folder name for mapping.

        Edit:- With this button, we can edit or change the source folder or target folder name.

        Export in CSV: Use this button to export the Folder mapping list into the CSV file for later use.

        Import from CSV: With this button, add the multiple sources folders along with target folders using CSV file, create a CSV file containing source folder name in one column and respective target folder name on another column, and upload it using Import from CSV option.

        Remove:- This button is provided to remove the added source folder and the target folder.

    • Email Translation : This option allows you to change the imporper display email address of the items, in a proper form by provide the proper email address on target section.

      • Add:- Using this button, one can add the source(improper sender display email address) and the target(translated) email address.

        Edit:- With this button, we can edit or change the source target email address.

        Export in CSV: Use this button to export the translated email address list into the CSV file for later use.

        Import from CSV: With this button, add the multiple sources email address along with translated email address(target) using CSV file, create a CSV file containing source email address in one column and respective translated email address on another column, and upload it using Import from CSV option.

        Remove:- This button is provided to remove the added source and the target email address.

        Apply on recipients too: Uncheck the box below to apply email translation on the recipients too. By default the email translation apply on "From" field only.

      Once you are done with the Advance option, click Ok and then click the Next button to proceed.

  6. the software will start the export process and displays a live log report. The live log report shows Source Folder, Target Folder, Item Count, Process Item, Filtered Items, Failed Items, and Status.
    • Stop button: The stop button allows you to stop all processes immediately.
    • Save report: Once the process gets completed save report button will get enabled. The save button allows saving the process report into an HTML file.
